After searching and searching for some interesting reviews on the MaverIK Performance I have come up almost empty. If anyone has tried this kayak I would love to hear from you. Basically here is what I have learned…
The MaverIK Performance is the performance version (as the name states) of the MaverIK series. It comes with snap-in thigh straps and removable foot braces which will give you much more leverage and security while paddling. This kayak is designed for recreational river use but can handle many different kinds of water conditions. I would suggest to anyone looking at this boat to read my much more detailed review of the MaverIK to get a better idea of what this inflatable kayak is about and then remember that this particular version will give you greater options and performance for river playing because of the thigh straps and foot braces.
NRS kayaks are often used as rentals by outfitters and one thing you can be sure of is that this inflatable kayak is sturdy and rugged and with a little care could possibly last you a lifetime. The size of this kayak makes it ideal for a lighter person and is easy to transport to any desired location.
Final Thoughts On the NRS MaverIK Performance
The Mav Performance is best geared for whitewater rapids up to class III. I think this kayak would work best for beginner to intermediate paddlers who want a stable whitewater kayak geared for good performance. The Mav Performance is light enough to easily take traveling with no extra fees at the airport. This kayak has a 10 year warranty which tells me it is top notch quality.
