More About the Aire Tributary Sawtooth

Due to the design of the floor – it bends slightly up at each end – the Aire Tributary Sawtooth is an extremely fast inflatable kayak… even faster than the Innova Sunny.  You will not find a faster inflatable under 15’ long.

The Tributary Sawtooth has 32 cargo/seat loops that are great for roping down your gear as well as positioning one or two seats anywhere in the boat.  It is extremely comfortable and has easy lift handles at the bow and stern for carrying to the water.

Built to be affordable, rugged, comfortable, sleek and fast, the Sawtooth won’t disappoint and is an excellent contender as one of the best inflatable kayaks for flat water paddling for under $800.

The Aire Tributary Sawtooth is known to be stable and to track quite well especially with the tracking fin in place.  Aire’s Tributary brand of inflatable kayaks are much more affordable than other Aire inflatable kayaks and have a solid reputation. They do not offer the same awesome quality that  Aire’s American made kayaks do, but they still hold up well. The Sawtooth comes with a one year warranty.

Final Thoughts On the Aire Tributary Sawtooth

The Aire Tributary Sawtooth inflatable kayak is a really good buy for anyone looking to spend under $1000 on a convenient flat water kayak. It is great for all skill levels and will offer many hours of great paddling on flat waters. Plus it can hold up to 400 pounds so you can load her right up.

One thing that does bother me is the weight of this inflatable kayak.  At just over 42 pounds the Sawtooth wil not be all that easy for one person to lift.  It is possible, but could be  a little awkward.  I have a tandem inflatable kayak that weighs 45 pounds and I find it difficult to carry too far on my own.  The extra weight could help with the performance but doesn’t make it so easy to travel with.

The Sawtooth also comes in a tandem version the Tributary Sawtooth II.
