More about the Aire Wildcat Cataraft

Aire has more models of catarafts than any other manufacture. The Aire Wildcat happens to be one of their performance catarafts and if I had to choose one word to describe it, it would have to be ‘TOUGH’. The Wildcat is constructed of 1670 denier PVC which is extremely tough and provides for rugged, solid and rigid pontoons.  The great thing about catarafts with separate frames is that you can always widen any frame for extra stability if you need to.

This inflatable pontoon boat is ideal for one person but two can easily fit with a fair amount of gear. This is a smaller cataraft and was built more for speed and performance than for extreme cargo capability. That being said it can hold up to 700 lbs (that has to include the frame and oars) and still offers excellent stability.  Although it is capable of holding a lot of weight keep in mind there is only so much space to put your gear.

Option of Aluminum Floor is a Good Idea

The Wildcat maneuvers very well and comes with the option of purchasing a cataraft aluminum floor. I would highly recommend this aluminum floor as it allows the rower to stand for long periods of time as well as adds space to hold lots of gear. Also the addition of this aluminum floor will lower the center of gravity of your cataraft and greatly add to the stability of your boat.

Aire has been a leader in inflatable pontoon boats as well as with inflatable kayaks and inflatable rafts. Their quality is top of the line and their reputation is one of excellence. When you purchase an Aire boat you can trust that you are getting an excellent watercraft that will last a very, very long time.

Final Thoughts on the Aire Wildcat Cataraft

Though a little wild in nature the Aire Wildcat will tackle the biggest river with grace and offer tons of fun for surfing the waves. With its ten year warranty there is nothing to worry about. If you don’t mind dealing with the addition of adding a frame then this inflatable pontoon boat is a great choice.
