More About the Airis Sport
The Airis Sport comes in two different sizes. The Sport 10 is built for small to medium paddlers and the Sport 11 is built for medium to large paddlers. This kayak is so light… only 21 pounds. Bring it with you easily anywhere you want to go to in the world. It is extremely rigid, much like a hard shelled kayak and tracks really well.
The quality of the Airis Sport is excellent. Slightly longer than the Airis Play with more bungee tie down cords, the Sport will literally take you anywhere you want to go. Equipped with cup holders, 2 sealing drain valves (any excess water drains right out) and backed by a 2 year warranty this inflatable kayak is solid and super fun. There is also the option of adding a GTS Pro Seat which offers supreme comfort and back support. I would highly recommend this seat so that you are able to enjoy longer kayaking trips without any discomfort.
In a League of Its Own
Airis kayaks simply cannot be compared to other inflatable kayaks. They have extra material added in high wear areas and are built to last. They have more stretch and are more tear and scrape resistant than any other inflatable kayak.
Airis kayaks will shock you with their rigidity. They are much more like a hard-shelled kayak. They are made using AirWeb High Pressure Construction which makes it possible to inflate an Airis kayak to more than 6.5 PSI or 0.45 bar. This is up to six times the maximum air pressure of other inflatable kayaks. Consequently they have a hull that is unbelivably rigid and durable without having to use any aluminum inserts or complicated frame parts. Assembly time therefore is extremely quick and simple.
The Sport Offers Great Performance
Each Airis kayak comes with a bow keel and a rear skeg that really helps these kayaks to track beautifully. The shape of the Airis kayaks provide for ultimate stability and comfort. The Sport is no different and will perform well in many different types of water.
Imagine Carrying your Kayak in your Backpack
Each Airis kayak comes standard with a custom AirPack backpack. The AirPack is super lightweight and comes with padded shoulder straps for extra comfort plus two sets of gear straps for your paddle and air pump. With the backpack you can carry your kayak absolutely anywhere including while riding your bike, taking the bus, onto an airplane or even onto a larger boat. It is highly portable.
Final Thoughts On the Airis Sport
I actually like the Airis Sport a lot more than the Airis Play. For one thing it is slightly longer and it weighs a mere 20 pounds. Also it has more bungee cords to be able to tie down gear. The Sport will likely pick up higher speeds as well. With a ton of accessories included with this boat, it’s a pretty cool kayak.
