The Sea Eagle Paddleski is pure fun. It is extremely unique in that it has a catamaran kayak design that allows for fun and performance not seen in any other boat.

If you are looking to have a versatile kayak that can be used for many different types of water play the Paddleski is a great way to go.

Weighing only 42 pounds this kayak is still easily transportable to any location and very easily carried by two people. It can be paddled anywhere and loaded right up for camping trips and longer excursions.

The unique catamaran design allows the hull to stay out of the water and creates low drag in the back which allows for a fair amount of speed. This inflatable kayak can be paddled by any person of any age.

Amazing Versatility

The Paddleski has the fantastic option of using a small electric or gasoline outboard and is capable of fairly high speeds.

Sea Eagle offers a side motor mount that can hold an electric motor up to 85 pounds and is perfect for getting to that remote fishing spot or simply to take a break from paddling.

There is also the option of adding on a true swivel fishing seat with two built-in rod holders. I don’t think there is any other inflatable kayak that offers so many great options for those who love to fish.

Optional Rowing Frame

If you are into rowing, which is much faster than paddling and also a phenomenal workout, Sea Eagle offers an optional rowing frame and sliding seat for the Paddleski.

This is the only inflatable kayak that I know of that offers this option which I think is very cool.

Optional Sailing Rig

On top of that there is also a sailing rig that can be purchased as well. It is so easy to use and assembles so quickly that you can truly go for a morning row and sail back in the afternoon when the winds pick up.

The reviews on this inflatable kayak are excellent Those who have it seem to love it. I think the convenience it offers is really fantastic. Speaking simply for myself, I would love to have the option to either go rowing or paddling.

As far as speed I would not expect the Paddleski to be the fastest kayak in the water… if you are paddling. However if you need to pick up the speed you can always use the optional motor.

Storage space is located on the front end of the kayak. As you can likely tell from the picture there is not a lot of room in the back so all gear will either need to be tied down up front or by your legs.

It can hold a fair amount of weight though (650 lbs.) so you can feel free to load it right up and you can actually fit a fair amount of stuff up front.

Final Thoughts

This is an excellent inflatable kayak for a person who wants more versatility out of their kayak for not a lot more money. Great for fishing, paddling, rowing, sailing and a HUGE amount of fun.

It is wider than most other inflatable kayaks and although is extremely stable it will not be super fast. As with all other Sea Eagle kayaks and boats, the Paddleski comes with a 3 year warranty and a 180 day risk free trial.
