The Advanced Elements StraitEdge is a very stable, self-bailing inflatable kayak that handles many different water conditions quite well. It was designed more for rivers, but tracks decently on open water as well. The StraitEdge 1 is the solo version and weighs only 34 pounds and the StraitEdge 2 is the tandem version weighing 47 pounds.
These kayaks are great for kayakers of any skill level and come with a two year warranty. They are rugged and solid and with a little care will likely last a lifetime. The StraitEdge kayaks are extremely popular and offer a lot of versatility for not a huge amount of money.
